Energy

IMG_4022

One cannot deny the existence of energy.  Everything is energy.  It’s that feeling you get when you’re talking to someone and there’s a pull of connection between the two of you.  It’s that feeling you get when you meet someone and immediately know there’s just “something” about them that urges you to keep your distance.  It’s that feeling you get when you’re doing exactly what you want to be doing right at the moment that you want to be doing it.  It’s that feeling you get when you hear someone singing and chills run down your body.  It’s everywhere; it’s everything.  Every person can feel it; every person does feel it.  It all comes down to how consciously you decide to tune into it.  Once you recognize those “feelings” for what they truly are, you will be able to connect so much deeper to all the beauty that is around you; you will be able to connect so much deeper to yourself.  TUNE IN!

Only Good News

If you change the way you view life, you will see that there is really only ever “good news.”  The first good news is that all bad things come to an end.  They just do.  The even better news?  If you decide to be an active participant in your life rather than a wall flower, you get to choose WHEN those bad things come to an end.

It can be leaving a job you hate for a passion you love, purifying yourself from a toxic relationship, finding the blessing in an unanswered prayer, or simply changing your attitude toward a situation you can’t quite control.  Go look for the good news in life today, and start by releasing yourself from all of the darkness.  CHOOSE LIGHT.  It’s always a choice.

Uneasy Gratitude

IMG_4028

Today, I encourage you to affirm gratitude for those things which we don’t always feel thankful for.  If you don’t understand how, then borrow my affirmations to start:

  • I am grateful for… my insecurities, because they make me real and relatable to my friends and family, creating a deeper, more authentic connection.
  • I am grateful for… that in my life which feels painful right now, because I know without this feeling I would not know how to recognize and appreciate pure joy.
  • I am grateful for… the everyday little annoyances I face, because I know that if I traded with somebody else I would probably want mine back.
  • I am grateful for… my heart having been broken, because although at first it may have felt like my world was shattered, I know now that it was broken to be opened.
  • I am grateful for… doors in my life that have been slammed in my face, because I know that I will only be guided through ones that are meant for my highest purpose.
  • I am grateful for… my flaws, because if I didn’t take the time to recognize them, then I wouldn’t know that my list of wonderful qualities is so, so much longer.

Okay, your turn!  Let’s hear what in your life might seem hard to give thanks to, but that you can create a space of gratitude for!
